ICELANDIC BEER SPA-Embark on a journey through our vision for the Iceland Beer Spa. It is an architectural marvel designed for discovery.

From the ground floor, where the glass brewery captivates visitors, the journey continues seamlessly to the gallery tasting room and finally to the Beer Spa lounge on the second floor.

Once outside, a graceful winding ramp becomes your guide, leading you through a ballet of architectural elements – facade and second skin. Ascending to the open terrace on the second floor reveals panoramic views of the Skútustaðagígar craters and lake, cocooned in a second façade with slats that mirror the organic contours of the craters, orchestrating a dance of light and shadow. It’s a personal connection to Iceland’s geological contrasts, sculpted over millennia.

Our focus goes beyond mere architecture; it creates a purposeful journey, inviting you to engage with a spectrum of perspectives, peeling back layers of architectural and brewing narratives.

Our concept orchestrates an intimate celebration of exploration, harmonising with the unique natural environment and cultivating an atmosphere where you connect intimately with Iceland’s landscapes and the art of brewing.

First Floor

On the ground floor, our Beer Spa concept offers visitors two distinct journeys. The first journey is through the interior, starting in the glass brewery on the ground floor and culminating in the spa lounge on the second floor, mirroring the journey of the beer itself. Alternatively, the second journey begins outdoors, leading visitors along a ramp that encircles the structure, eventually leading to an open terrace on the second floor and the entrance to the Beer Spa.

On entering the ground floor, guests are greeted by an elaborate gift shop, which is centred around the brewery and serves as the main focal point of the space. Situated at the heart of the ground floor and surrounded by glass walls, the brewery is prominently displayed. Pipes extending from the main barrels rise to the upper floor, seamlessly connecting the bar and spa directly to the production area, creating a cohesive and immersive experience for visitors.

Gallery

As you navigate the interior, you’ll encounter impressive spiral staircases leading up to a gallery space where the bar is located. Here, visitors can take a break from shopping and immerse themselves in Icelandic culture, nature and brewing by sampling craft beer and local cuisine.

This is a refreshing break before heading up to the viewing platform or spa on the floor above.

Second Floor

The Beer Spa is located on the second floor and can be accessed either from the viewing platform or from inside the brewery. Each route offers a unique sensory journey, meticulously designed to captivate the visitor. Whether you choose the indoor route from the brewery to the spa lounge or the outdoor route to the open terrace and brewery lookout, you’ll encounter different perspectives that enhance your exploration of both nature and the brewing process.

As you enter the spa’s main hall, you’ll notice that the brewery pipes extend into the Beer Spa Lounge, creating a unique atmosphere. Here you can enjoy beer while you wait for your turn in the beer tubs, immersing yourself in a unique experience.

The materials used to create this atmosphere have been carefully selected from the surrounding nature, including lava stone, mist and a natural colour palette, ensuring a seamless integration with the environment.
