Minjović Hair Store

The Minjović Hair Store project highlights our strong friendship and professional relationship with our clients.

The Hair Store is located in a historic pre-war building in the centre of Belgrade. The space is approximately 50 square metres. Originally used as a commercial space, it was divided into several smaller areas which had to be demolished to create a more open and functional layout. Once the new layout was agreed, design and implementation began simultaneously as the clients were eager to open their new location. This approach deviated from our usual process, but was manageable due to our established relationship with the clients.

As demolition began, we discovered the beautiful old concrete beam ceiling, which became one of the highlights of the project. The style of the Minjović Hair Studios is industrial urban and we continued in that direction. The use of wood, concrete, metal mesh and neon lights helped to integrate an urban industrial aesthetic with the construction details revealed during the demolition phase into the interior design.

The exceptional craftsmanship of the builders is evident in every corner of the Minjović hair salon. Their meticulous attention to detail and skilful execution contribute to a distinctive character that harmoniously blends rugged charm with contemporary sophistication.

As both a store and a salon, the strategic placement of mirrors and lighting enhances the sense of space, while the industrial elements add a unique character that reflects the vibrant urban environment of Belgrade.
