Parametric Lobby

We were hired to redesign the lobby entrance of an office building in 2019, located in the iconic Old Mercator building in Belgrade. The area was once a focal point of New Belgrade in the 70s, symbolizing progress and the future. However, over time, neglect led to its deterioration. Together with our clients, we aimed to revive the spirit of the place through our design, showcasing our vision of progress and the future.

The lobby’s main elements were designed parametrically, representing innovation and modernity. As our client operates a successful IT company, they welcomed the idea of a non-traditional design, allowing us to create striking yet functional features. The centerpiece of the design is the parametric counter, which seamlessly integrates a fully functional reception desk, where form meets function harmoniously. The bench in the center serves as a waiting area for elevator rides to job interviews. We selected these images to portray the contrasting aspects of nature’s beauty, aiming to evoke vitality and inspire individuals entering the space.
